As mentioned above, the number of deck of cards depends on the number of players. Notably, if more than four players are going to play the game, you can use three decks of cards as well. Each deck of card has a total of 52 cards including 2 face jokers. Jokers have traditionally been part of the rummy game. Whether it is the 13 or 21 card game, all the players have to make sequences of three or more cards out of the cards available to each player. According to the variant, either 13 or 21 cards are distributed among the players while the remaining cards are placed on the table. After this, the next step is to take one card out and place it facing upwards as it is used to start the game.

You can make a pure sequence out of a set of consecutive numbers but make sure they are of the same color. However, you can also make a set of the same numbers of different colors; such as, three of hearts, clubs and diamonds. All the players have to take turns to draw one card at a time so that they can figure out whether the card is useful to them or not in order to make a sequence. If a particular card doesn't fit into their combination, they can discard it. You can also use one or more Jokers in the game. It is considered as a trump card as it can be used to denote any card number and color of your choice to help complete a sequence. However, a set completed using a joker is not considered as a pure sequence so you need to play accordingly. Any player, who is able to club all 13 or 21 cards in a set, is eligible to declare the game. You will have to click on the declare tab on your screen and then go on to Meld the cards.

As you can see the rules are fairly simple and easy to comprehend. You should make sure that you adhere to all the rules of this game.
